Let's Get Sketchy! Challenge #4

If anyone has been following my blog for the entire month, then perhaps you have noticed a theme with my Let's Get Sketchy! layouts. For all three of the challenges thus far I have used pictures from our family photo shoot at Crystal Cove Beach last August. I just haven't been able to resist scrapping them! Because even though we live in Southern California, it still has been "winter" for us. In fact, despite the fact that it's officially spring now, yesterday was a cold & rainy day. So basically I have really enjoyed reminiscing our time on the beach last summer while we experienced wet & somewhat chilly weather off & on these last couple of months.  And therefore, it should not come as a huge surprise that for our fourth and final sketch for the month of March, I scrapped another of these photos!

Also, I just want to toot my own horn a bit by saying that this week's sketch was created by yours truly :)

I encourage you to stop by the Let's Get Sketchy! blog and check out what the rest of our talented design team came up with this week!  And maybe you'll be inspired enough to play along!

Let's Get Sketchy! Challenge #3

It's time for another new sketch at Let's Get Sketchy! I can't believe how many submissions we had the first two weeks...I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up this time around!  Since this is the third week of the month my team was not required to create a sample, but I'm really just having so much fun with the different sketches that I could not resist yet again making one myself.  So here is my take on this week's sketch:
I feel like I've been on a real roll with the photos from our family photo shoot this past August.  I just might get a whole album completed!!

To see the sketch that my layout is based on, check out what our amazing design team has come up with and to submit your own layout please go check out the Let's Get Sketchy! blog.

Let's Get Sketchy! Challenge #2

There is a new sketch challenge up at Let's Get Sketchy! There will be a new sketch posted every Monday of the month, and if you participate in at least two challenges per month, you will be eligible for the monthly prize.  Here is my take on the sketch:
This is another one of my favorite photos from our family photo shoot at Crystal Cove Beach last August. Well I actually have lots of favorites from that shoot...but that's because we were blessed with not only an awesome location but with an absolutely amazing photographer who has done both of our family photo shoots, as well as Santiago's and Paolina's newborn photo sessions.

To see the sketch I based my layout on, as well as all the fabulous layouts created by our design team, please head over to the Let's Get Sketchy! blog.

Louisville Slugger

So I am absolutely loving serving on the design team for Let's Get Sketchy!  I have been having a blast getting to know all the amazing girls on the team, playing with great sketches, and checking out all the amazing entries the blog members are submitting. But then I realized the other day that with all the fun I'm having,  I've barely had time to just do challenges for other sites I usually visit.  Well we can't have that, now can we?  So here is an entry for the Go Green! Challenge over at Colorful Creations.

So I totally lifted this layout from Debbi Tehrani.  I absolutely adore her work!!  And I used pictures of Santiago when he was about 5 weeks old (I can't believe he'll be 4 years old next month!), posed with the miniature Louisville Slugger from his Opa (who loved that his grandson wasn't much bigger than the bat).

Let's Get Sketchy! Grand Opening

The wait is finally over! I'm so excited to announce that the brand new sketch blog Let's Get Sketchy! is officially open! Over the last month I have had the opportunity to get to know all the ladies serving with me on the design team a bit better, and I am overwhelmed with all the talent I have seen.  I feel so privileged to be serving with a group of such wonderful girls! The design team is divided into two groups, and I am on Team B, which means that I'm only required to provide sample layouts the 2nd and 4th weeks each month. However, we are free to make examples of all four sketches. I really couldn't resist so that's exactly what I did!

I used one my favorite photos from our family photo shoot out at Crystal Cove Beach last August.

I encourage you to hop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy! blog to see the first sketch for the month of March as well as all the amazing examples our Design Team has created!

Let's Get Sketchy! Kick-Off Weekend

Let's Get Sketchy! is officially open. And to hold us over until tomorrow (sketches are posted every Monday) they have been running some fun games this weekend.  I've been running around like crazy yesterday and today (we have family coming out tomorrow to stay with us for the week which I've been preparing for, and we had two doctor's appointments yesterday) so I'm a bit tardy in letting everyone know.  But don't worry, if you head over to the Let's Get Sketchy! blog you still have the opportunity to participate in the first non sketch challenge...create a layout using the colors in the below image.
Trend: Pastels
